2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or otherwise using Keyoqi, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the service.

3. The Service

Keyoqi is an AI-powered language learning platform that generates personalised quizzes, lessons, and conversation practice.

We reserve the right to:

• Modify or discontinue features at any time
• Change pricing with reasonable advance notice
• Suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms

4. Accounts

To use Keyoqi you must:

• Provide accurate information when registering
• Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
• Be at least 13 years old

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use. Account sharing is strictly prohibited — accounts must only be used by the individual who created them.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Keyoqi offers free and paid subscription plans.

• Payments are processed securely by Stripe — we do not store your card details
• Paid subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
• You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
• We may update pricing with reasonable advance notice

6. Acceptable Use and Fair Use Policy

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Share your account credentials or allow multiple individuals to use a single subscription
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or another user's account
• Upload or transmit harmful, offensive, or infringing content
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise abuse the service
• Circumvent rate limits, subscription tiers, or other technical controls
• Impersonate any person or entity

Fair Use Policy: Features advertised as “all-access” (such as tests, lessons, and explanations) are subject to a fair use limit (e.g., up to 100 generations per user, per day) to prevent automated abuse, account sharing, API scraping, and to ensure platform stability for all users. These limits are set comfortably above reasonable human usage.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules without prior notice.

7. AI-Generated Content

Keyoqi uses AI to generate quizzes, lessons, and conversation responses.

• AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies
• You should not rely on it for professional, medical, legal, or safety-critical decisions
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any AI output

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, branding, and code in Keyoqi is owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the service without our written permission.

Content you create or submit remains yours. By using the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process and store it solely to provide the service to you.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Breach these Terms of Service
• Engage in fraudulent or abusive behaviour
• Fail to pay for a subscription

Accounts terminated for violating our Acceptable Use or Fair Use Policies are not eligible for a refund of any unused portion of their subscription.

You may delete your account at any time. Deleting your account performs a “fresh start” wipe: your quiz results, lessons, conversations, and learning progress are permanently deleted. A minimal residual record (authentication identity, billing records, and rate-limit timestamps) is retained for abuse prevention and legal compliance purposes, as described in our Privacy Policy. If you require complete permanent deletion of all records, contact privacy@keyoqi.com.

10. Disclaimers

Keyoqi is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

We do not warrant that:

• The service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free
• AI-generated content is accurate or complete
• The service will meet your specific requirements

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or loss of profits, arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the total amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £50 (whichever is greater).

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Consumer Rights (UK & EU)

If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom or European Union, you have statutory rights that these terms do not affect. In particular:

• You have a right to cancel within 14 days of purchase; however, if you begin using the service immediately, you may lose this right once the service has been fully delivered
• By subscribing, you acknowledge this

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date when changes are made. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you (for example, by email or an in-app notice).
